The talking tree

 The Talking Tree

There once was a tree named Tim
Who liked to sing and dance on a whim
He had a lot of fun in the sun
But he felt lonely when the day was done
He wished he had someone to talk to him

One day, he saw a little bird
Who landed on his branch and said a word
"Hello, I'm Lila, nice to meet you"
She said with a smile and a coo
Tim was surprised and overjoyed to be heard

He greeted her back and asked her name
He told her he was Tim and asked her the same
She said she was Lila and she was new
She was looking for a place to stay and a friend too
Tim said he would be happy to offer both and share his fame

They became friends and talked for hours
They shared their stories and their powers
Lila told him she could fly and sing
Tim told her he could grow and swing
They laughed and joked and admired the flowers

They decided to go on an adventure together
They wanted to see the world and the weather
Lila flew ahead and showed him the way
Tim followed behind and enjoyed the day
They saw mountains, rivers, deserts and heather

They came across a big city with tall buildings
They were curious and wanted to see its workings
They sneaked into a park and hid behind a bush
They watched the people and their rush
They wondered what they were doing with their things

They saw a man with a camera and a tripod
He was taking pictures of a woman with a smile so broad
She was wearing a dress and holding a bouquet
She looked happy and ready to say yay
They realized they were witnessing a wedding and they nodded

They decided to join the fun and crash the party
They wanted to congratulate the couple and be hearty
Lila flew over and landed on the bride's head
Tim stretched his branch and tapped the groom's shoulder instead
They said hello and wished them well and hoped they would be happy

The couple was shocked and scared by their intrusion
They screamed and ran away from their confusion
The guests were also startled and panicked by the sight
They thought they were being attacked by a monster and a kite
They fled from the scene and left behind their fusion

Tim and Lila were confused and sad by their reaction
They did not mean to cause any trouble or distraction
They just wanted to be friendly and nice
They did not expect them to be so ice
They felt sorry for their action

They decided to leave the city and go back to nature
They realized they did not belong there or fit their culture
They preferred the forest where they could be free
And enjoy their friendship under their tree
They hugged each other and smiled at their future

The end.
